The National Transport Authority (NTA) launched its draft strategy for the Greater Dublin Area recently. The NTA stressed at the time that it was not just a list of projects, as shown below it’s also based on fairly substantial data. Here’s the locations of real-time bus displays which are installed or due to be installed around Dublin. The data is currently incomplete. It also only includes Dublin City Council and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council areas — it does not include Fingal or South Dublin. Journalists only make 8 FOI requests to Fingal County Council between 2004 and 2008. Requests from journalists, however, were were higher in 2009, with 9 requests in a single year.
