Two arrested after man shot at pub door
Blanchardstown, Fingal, News Wednesday, April 6th, 2011Two men were arrested yesterday linked to a shooting of a pub last Saturday.
Gardai said a 50-year-old man was injured when “a number of shots” were fired at the front door of the public house in Mulhuddart at around 11.50pm on Saturday April 2.
The man’s injuries are not life threatening, they said.
“In an operation carried out yesterday, six houses were searched in Blanchardstown and Maynooth. Two men – 19 and 22 years old – were arrested and are currently detained at Blancharstown Garda Station under Section 30 Offences against the State Act 1939,” said Sergeant Damian Hogan
“A car which Gardaí believe was used in the incident was recovered on Sunday evening in the north of the city. Investigations are continuing.”
