Man arrested after €0.9m of cannabis found

A man was arrested after Gardai found an estimated €0.9 million worth of drugs in north Co Dublin.

Gardai estimate that the amount of cannabis resin, subject to analysis, has a street value of €900,000.

A premises was searched by members of the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Units and a man in his 40s was arrested. He is currently detained at Ashbourne Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, 1996.

Gardai described the operation as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs.
