Arrest made in 2008 knife murder case

Gardaí investigating a murder in Palmerstown have arrested a 33-year-old man.

The body of David Whyte was discovery in an old graveyard grounds off Mill Lane, Palmerstown Dublin 20 on September 26, 2008.

A report at the time says the 35-year-old was stabbed 30 times in a frenzied attack.

“The man was arrested in Co Clare and taken to Ballyfermot Garda Station. He is expected to appear before Court No 4 in the CCJ , Parkgate Street, Dublin 8 on Wednesday morning charged in connection with this murder investigation,” said Sergeant Damian Hogan of the Garda Press Office.
