Man arrested over Finglas murder

A 22-year-old man was arrested in the investigation of the shooting of Daniel Gaynor on August 14.

Gaynor (25) was shot dead on in front of his young children and partner on St Helena’s Road in Finglas.

Finglas Gardai say he was arrested shortly after 11.30pm on Sunday night, November 7, in the Dublin area. He is being detained at Finglas Garda station under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gaynor was a convicted criminal and a suspected hitman.
