Fingal biodiversity plan on display

Fingal County Council is seeking submissions on the Draft Fingal Biodiversity Action Plan 2010-2015.

The council says it will be a key document in guiding the work of everyone involved in the conservation of the natural environment in the Fingal area. The draft includes a programme of 100 actions to protect the sites, habitats, plants and animals in the area.

The draft plan and associated maps can be found on fingalcoco.ie or can be inspected until Friday August 20 at County Hall, Main Street, Swords, Co Dublin; Civic Offices, County Hall, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15; and Balbriggan Town Hall, George’s Square, Balbriggan, Co Dublin.

Submissions should be received by the council by Friday September 3 at 4.30pm by emailing biodiversity@fingalcoco.ie or made in writing to Mr Hans Visser, Biodiversity Officer, Parks Division, Fingal County Council, County Hall, Main Street, Swords.
