Charity walk World Record attempt

Charity walk organisers are hoping for 10,000 people to take part in a record attempt on Saturday afternoon.

At Rathcoole Park, in the West Dublin village of Rathcoole, walkers will aim to break the world record for the most people to walk one mile for charity in one day. Over 2,000 people turned up to a similar event last year.

The event is in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, and is to be monitored by officials from the Guinness Book of Records.
