Billboard campaign to promote domestic soccer

A new billboard campaign featuring players from the three Dublin Airtricity League teams is to be launched today in the city as part of Dublin’s status as 2010 European Capital of Sport.

David McGill of Shelbourne, Ken Oman of Bohemians and Ian Bermingham of St. Patrick’s Athletic are to feature on the billboards to be erected around Dublin City in a joint exercise between Dublin City Council and the Football Association of Ireland (FAI).

The FAI state that “the billboard will be displayed at various locations throughout Dublin City, encouraging Dubliners to get behind their local heroes as Dublin continues to mark its European Capital of Sport title.”
