Major traffic disruption expected in Chapelizod

Significant traffic delays are expected in Chapelizod from next week due to road works, Dublin City Council has warned.

The council says the preparatory works for the installation of pedestrian footbridges on the Anna Livia Bridge will start on Tuesday and last until August 31.

Disruption is expected on the Chapelizod Road, Knockmaroon Hill, Lucan Road and a small section of the Kylemore Road. The city council advises to use alternative routes.

It says a signal-controlled system will be in operation over the bridge. It also warns that further disruption for shorter periods is due in September and October during the installation of the footbridges.
