Dublin City Council meet on development plan

City councilors are starting a meeting on the Draft Dublin City Development Plan 2011-2017. The city hall meeting can be viewed live online at dublincity.public-i.tv.

Councilors are to vote on 976 motions on the plan, including the controversial issue of building heights in the city.

The council are due to meet at 6pm for the next three evening on the development plan. Lord mayor, Gerry Breen, has just warned the councilors that if three minutes is spent on each motion the councilors would have to meet every night this week up to Saturday night.
