Warning of water shortage in Garristown

Fingal County Council have warned residents in the Garristown area to conserve water as much as possible as the levels at the reservoir are “extremely low.”

The council says that all the area will experience reduced pressure and in some cases no water. Fingal County Council are blaming the increased demand on the water supply during the current hot spell of weather.

“We are now asking all customers in the Garristown area to conserve water as much as possible and to only use water for essential purposes. For a full list of ways to conserve water visit fingalcoco.ie and taptips.ie. Fingal County Council will provide updates to the public through our website and on Aertel page 624,” says a statement on the council’s website.
