Tallaght public garden wins innovation award

A Tallaght project to create a garden accessible to all has won St.John of God‘s Innovation award after the awards ceremony¬† last Wednesday at St.John Hospitaller in Stillorgan.

Menni Services created “A Garden for all Seasons” to promote social inclusion in the Tallaght area. South Dublin County Council (SDCC) worked with Menni Services to launch the sensory garden, located in the Sean Walsh memorial park near Tallaght stadium. The awards are open to St.John of God’s organisations worldwide.

The garden continues to be maintained by SDCC staff and students from Menni Services.  The students are participants in a FETAC Horticulture programme run in conjunction with Menni Services.
