Onlookers were left bemused as around a hundred people dressed as zombies assembled in St.Stephen’s Green park and roamed the city streets in an attempt to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society and RNLI Lifeboats. More images can be viewed here. Video of the Dublin Zombie Walk

Up to 22,000 people lined the streets of Dublin today for the culmination of the 2010 Dublin Pride festival. The parade began on Parnell square and moved down O’Connell street and on to Westmoreland street before reaching Dame street. It reached its finishing point near Christchurch cathedral. Sections of the Dalkia Ireland were sold to UK outsourcing company Mitie for €12.5 million. Mitie paid €9.5 million upfront to Dalkia Ireland Investments Ltd for what was described as its ‘soft facilities management’ divisions — which includes cleaning and security services.
